I've been searching and i just need someone to clera up somethings for me

1.)I was wondering if anyone has the pictures for wiring lineout converter to rear speakers or the stock head unit. Please post em here or email to me @ jungnam82@hotmail.com

2.) Also, is wiring the line output converter from the stock headunit better for sound quality? I also heard that it will be easier when i go to replace my HU.

3.) If i decide to wire it from the rear speakers, how would you cut the rear speaker wires for signal and connect them? Because you have to cut it and it has to go to both the rear speakers and the line out converter. Do I just make a slit or cut the whole wire?

1 - each line out converter is different, and they each come with their own instructions. as to the wres, if you cant see the wires for the rear speakers in the trunk, you shouldnt be wiring up amps =)

2 - aftermarket headunit with rca connections to an amp will sound a HELL of a lot better than line out converters. as to where you get the cable from, it doesnt matter for sound. regardless youll need a short rca cable f you wire it from the trunk, and a long rca cable if you wire it from the deck

3 - you could do 1 of 2 things, a - snip the wire, then strip all 3 sides (speaker side, signal side, line out converter side) and connect them all together, or b - do it the way id do it, crap a wire stripper and clamp it down in the middle of the wire and pull so as to slide some of the insulation off to the side, so you have an exposed section of the wire, and connect there (this method you could also do with a razor blade by chopping off a section of the wire's insulation)

aight i got everything hooked up now ( correctly i'm pretty sure)
and after i put the fuse in and turned on the system nothing happened! wtf i'm thinking the amp is broke or something because the power light does not come on. I'm so F*ckin frustrated right now, any suggestions?

Make sure your ground is good and the fuse is connected and not blown. An amp only needs two things to work--power and ground.

yea my friend didn't tell me about the remote terminal because he thought i was gonna use high level inputs. i tapped the power from the other line to the remote terminal and I kno everything is working fine now *whew.

can someone tell me what color the wire is that I need to tap for the remote terminal?

also, taking out the stock hu is a b*tch. i tried pushing from the inside and pulling by grabbing at the ridge below the vents and top of the pocket and had no luck (yes i'm weak). Anyone have anymore advice on how to do this? and yes i unscrewed the 2 screws.

push on either the back of the radio or the metal frame. its hard the first time coming out and you will probly cut your hand...i have a nice scar. i belive the wire your looking for is yellow with red stripe.

and the amp needs 3 things to turn on, 4 things to work...power remote and ground will turn it on..add signal to make it work.

i took some quick pics of how tapped into my wifes rear speakers...just bell caps and electical tape...they are in "my ride"
