well, its hard to give comments about a setup, stock or aftermarket, $30,000 stereo or $3,000 or $300, when so much is factored on stuff other than an equipment list, stock, or aftermarrket.

people have competed SQ with factory stereos, barely modified. and won!

another good example would be the a customer at my shop that came in with compVR's, a premade box, and a soundstream amp, it sounded great and got louder than i thought it would. another customer came in with a pair of L5's and 1500 watt rockford amp and sucked all over itself.

the equipment is bette,r more expensive, and "better", right?

so, based on equipment lists, where did we go wrong? its that we cant comment abotu a "setup" based on an equipment list.

based on JUST an equipment list, it looks to me like its got alot of potential, and that alot of people, maybeyou too, would be VERY happy with it. install might prove to be troublesome, especailly to get LFE performance out of the 6w0's. its also quite a bit of power for them, realistically, you could power 3-4 6w0's with that amp.

XR's might be a little smooth for rock, but i cant say for sure, its certainly got the midbass, again, if installed ot really get that midbass performance.

but thats about all i can figure, and even then its not very concrete, is it....

what im saying is, i want to use what i have so its not just laying around collecting dust, i would be happy with the stock stereo, except i need a little more low frequency responce and SPL. and you shouldnt really amp a sub off of the stock HU. if i wasnt concearned with the space in the hatch, id just throw in my 10, but being that the hatch is taller, rather than deep, it will take up too much room. i was looking for an alternative that will give me similar sound to my 10W3V2 that i could run off of my 250/1 JL amp, that will take up less room, or occupy otherwise UNUSED space, i DO NOT want to ditch the spare if possible
