location for a ps2 in car
sup guys got a few small questions i need some help and i hope yall can be nice enough to help.....well here they are....
1. i got a ps2 in the car running to my 7.2 widescreen yet i have it sitting in the rear driver seat so its kinda hard getting to it while driving so i want to know where else i can put it and another thing is that i want to buy a wireless dvd ps2 remote so i dont have to use my ps2 controller........
2. what kinda amp should i buy that is not so expensive and that is atleast 1000watts so i can push 3 10's i heard lanzar is a good amp?
3. where can i mount my screen permantly so it wont be illegal and still looks good?? remember i have a 7.2 widescreen where it can be mounted anywhere......
i would really appreciate the help!
for number 1; are u having problems playing ps2 while driving? i don't think it's the position of the ps2 that's making it so difficult as much as driving of the car
if u want to use it for dvd movies (and driving alone), u may want to play the movie before u start driving. even w/ a remote, u still have to aim at the ps2 i think, and it'll be hard to aim the remote backwards

so you're having trouble driving and playing eh? that is pretty dangerous you know? as far as mounting the screen, you aren't just gonna be able to mount that 7.2 anywhere. im sure it come with some type of kit for mounting, such as a stand, or a mounting bracket of some sort. you can use that. i too have a 7.2 screen. i am building a fiberglass enclosure that will go over the cup holders and become part of the center console. which is where mine will be mounted. as far as amp, what subs do you have? and you do still have to point the wireless remote at the ps2. you could mount it in the dash (requires some modification)

Place the screen in one of the following locations.
1. in dash above glove bow - never seen this done.
2. visors
3. mount in are behind shifter
4. in the glove box
5. passenger air bag, remove it and fabricate something so the screen will pop up with a motor.
PS2: You can place it under the glove box.

my idea was to put it insude the passenger side door pocket. the pocket will have to be modified for it to fit. but it would be invisible to anyone looking from the ouside in.

it will be hard to fit in the glove box. if u have ever taken the glove box out, u will see there is a big metal bar right behind the box. doesnt leave to much space.
as for the door, just a ton of cutting and ***** of steel. i may actually one day attempt this =D so i will let u know

i have seen someone cut a slot in the rear center seat (coupe) and placed a dvd player in that slot they made. kinda cool actually. u can probbaly cut a vertical slit and have the PS2 inside there as well.

as for putting the PS2 in the glovebox, you'd have to be pretty brave. basically, you'd gut the glovebox, remove any obstructing pieces, so long as they aren't required for the car's functionality. it'd be an arduous process, but it could be done. i think someone here already has a ps2 in the glovebox. i am gonna find somewhere inconspicuous to mount mine. just haven't decided where yet.
