by plexiglassed, do you mean under a see thru window under the trunk floor? or did you mean fiberglassed into the spare well? i have never seen an amp encased in plexiglass, what does it look like, in a square box just kind of sitting there? if so, what would that serve, other than protecting it from dust and debris falling on it? mine is fiberglassed into my trunk, well, almost, i am still working on the finishing touches to it (final sanding, painting, more sanding, and clearcoating)

Computer case fans, or "crossflow" fans wired with a relay to your remote turn on lead so they activate when the amps go on are great for cooling. Or you could get really fancy and use electric thermometers and relays to make them turn on at certain temps.

In either scenario, if the amp will be totally encased on all sides, you should make sure there are vent holes, and use several fans in an intake/exhaust fan setup.

Use tap-in connectors or cut the remote lead, and splice in another wire with butt-connectors and run that spliced lead to the + wire on the fan. THen you ground the negative of the fan to the body of the car.

I prefer butt-connectors for a secure connection.
