I have trouble being able to tell what to listen for
I think my system definately needs a good ear to be tuned but I dunno. I've tried having other people listen to it and they think it sounds fine but when I'm driving around listening to stuff it sounds like it needs adjustments of some sort... haha. I can kind of tell what to listen for, but not very well.

maroon 5- harder to breathe. my new favorite for clean sound.
jerzee monet ft. DMX- most high. awesome mid sounds, definitely gotta try this one.
deftones- digital bath or knife party. kick *** songs and great piercing cymbols (made me love my quarts sooooo much)
techno choice would be paul oakenfold- starry eyed surprise. good mix of sounds
rock would be metallica- ride the lightning. dirty sound, but awesome guitar riffs in there.
EDIT: dj encore-high on life. it has these chime things that just sound freaking awesome on good speakers. her voice is insane too.

*deftones - white pony album for the serious highs
*anything by bjork for all around phase, sound quality, and a few songs for the deepest cleanest bass ever
*dark side of the moon - one of the greatest recordings ever
*dilated peoples - worst comes to worst (dont know why, but this song helps me tweak *****)
*iasca autosound 2000 cd
*the roots - things fall apart - one of the tightest drum sets ive ever heard in my life, on the right stereo, it sounds like its ni your face right there

Yes - Starship Trooper
All I can saw is WOW, its an 8 minute song with the smoothest highs I've ever heard and great midbass too, the guitar solo at the end has dueling bass guitars that alternate to both sides, I swear it brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it, lol. Definately a must D/L for guitar lovers!

*Nelly Furtado - that song, like a bird or fly away, (not sure of the title)
*Fabolous - Holla Back
*Eagles - Hotel California (live version on the greatest hits sounds awesome!)

Limp Bizkit- Chocolate Starfish, and the Hotdog Flavored Water
the reason i use that is because that is what I have always tuned to, not sure why. is has a lot of different frequencies on it, and i know what it is supposed to sound like. that is what me and another guy i know that works at a local audio shiop i help out at after my day job have been tuning to since it came out. before that, i would use something like DJ Magic Mike or something like that. But now I always tune to Limp Bizkit. Just a habit i guess.
