how do you guys drive that your box moves? my box is so heavy, over 50lbs maybe, and it stays where i put it, i've never had a problem with it moving around in the trunk.
but i agree with Mr. Modify, use velcro, should stop the box from moving, and you can take it out more easily than you could if it was bolted down (unless you are afraid it will get stolen, then bolt away)

this is a ricer forum, as my buddy who has a 2nd gen eclipse answers, most ppl here would say the same thing "cornering at 80 mph"

back when i had a box in my trunk, i velcroed the box to the carpet, then teh carpet started to slide on teh frame

so i velcroed the carpet to the frame of the car, and i never had a problem after that

I used velcro before and velcroed my trunk floor mat to the cheap pressboard below it.. and velcroed the box to it... and that didn't work very well.. it still slid around a bit... So I customized my trunk.. I built a custom trunk floor out of particle board ... and shoved it in my trunk... and then I used L-brackets and screwed the box to the trunk floor.. now it doesn't even move 1 bit...!

Make a metal bracket for each side of the box.
Then attached to the box and the rear strut bar.

unload the box (take the sub out), and run 4- 2"inch woodscrews through the bottom of it into the trunk floor (assuming you made a new mdf floor). sub doesn't move, can't see how it is secured, and theives would have to take the sub out to get the box out.

yea ludman suggested velcro, the problem i had is i used industrial velcro and it sticks to the carpet, sticks to the box, the 2 pieces of velcro stick, but the carpet in the trunk ripped off thos plastic pins on the back seats..... i know im gonna get hassled about 'how the f**k do you drive' but bring it on

i won't hassle you about how you drive, i'll hassle you about what you attached your velcro to. you should have used them as "feet" on the bottom of your box. uber grip!

hahhaa... the velcro is on the bottom of the box, 2 8inch strips, the other side is on the carpet of the trunk... they stick together, just a bit too much that the carpet ripped from where it is secured near the rear seats
