Multi amp system-help
Hey guys I need some help. My setup so far is panasonic headunit with kenwood components up front and pioneer 6x9s in the back being fed by a kenwood 320 watt 4 channel amp. The pioneers will be replaced by kenwoods, but my question is I plan on using 2 alpine type r 10'' subwoofers with a 2 channel 600 watt amp from kenwood, how do I wire this thing in? The 800 watt amp wiring kit is installed, connected to the current amp, do I need another wiring kit?, or do I use other parts? I know more about mechanicals than wiring and ice, so any help is appreciated.
for the two amps for the subs, use a fused dist block, and then choose one amp to be "master" amp or wutever, and the other one is like slave amp. the master amp is hooked up to the head unit like normal, and then get another pair of rca cables, plug it into the master amp under aux output or output or wutever its called on ur amp, and plug those into the slave amp for input. for the remote turn on wire u cud just splice one into the other, thats wut i did and i never had any problems
If your HU has a "non-fading" or "sub level control" set of pre-outs run a new set of RCA's from that output to your new amp, that way you can control the subs from the HU. Is your wiring kit 4 guage? If it is, then you can just get a distro block, fused or not...doesnt really matter, and split some 8 guage to each amp. The remote turnon can be spliced...do not use a "tap-in" connecter, rather get a closed bell connector, it's like those orange twist connectors used for home wiring, but you crimp it for a solid connection. Should be pretty straight forward, maybe you have some friends that have done it before to give you a hand? Even if you don't have friends with experience, get one or two to help you.
Good luck!

Good luck!
yeah...if u have the 8gauge kit running from the batter to the back, its kinda dangerous to use a distributor. Highly recommend running either 4 gauge, or if ur crazy enuf, run 0 gauge from the front to back, and distribute with 8 guage wire (or 4 guage if u ran 0 gauge from front to back). Then you're set!
