jwalker87 is an unknown quantity at this point
maybe your ground/power cables are insecure? That's my only guess. Sounds like when it tries to put too much power through it, it can't handle it, which makes me think it's an insecure connection somewhere.

check the loading. my guess is that youve got a 4 ohm amp with a 2 ohm load on it. maybe a 1 ohm load. at low volumes this will be fine, but at high volumes, it would cause current protect to be activated.

what amplifier, and what subwoofer have you got?

I never had any problems with my install. I did it myself. Maybe I've been hitting alot of bumps in the road and something jarred ?

I have 2 Rockford Fosgate He2 subs driven by a 400 watt mono block amp. All the volumes on the amp are at around half power going through. The sound is PERFECT in my car at those volumes.

I secured all the wires back and only 1 sub works now....

EVERYTIME i get out of the car and put my hand on the door I get an electric shock. My ground is secure? I have no idea what's going on!!

is the monoblock 2 ohm stable? ohme ohm stable? are the He2's 4 ohm DVC?

if your monoblock is only 2 ohm stable, and the HE2's are 4 ohm DVC, then that would clearly explain why you are getting overcurrent.....

1. Does it go into protection mode?
2. Is the power still on (amp) when your subs cut off?
3. What kind of amp are you using, i know its a 400 watt mono block, but what kind, that could be your problem.

If all of your setting have been the same since you installed it, it would definitly have to be a problem internally in your amp.

is the monoblock 2 ohm stable?
90% of mono blocks are 2 ohm stable

ohme ohm stable?

are the He2's 4 ohm DVC?
yes, dual 4 ohm
