Alpine HU owners.....help me
Help would greatly be apreciated from anybody with an alpine hu.
The thing that I cant seem to fine tune in my car is the time correction adjustments, and also the hi pass/ low pass filters , just cant seem to get things right!
I have the cda 9811 HU
two 10's in sealed box, running off an 2 ch amp
fronts is type R 176 components, runing off an 2 ch amp
rear 6*9's running off the hu
Also wondering if I should run the sub amp on full range and use the hu controls for low pass/ freq.......or run the amp on low pass( 85 htz) and not touch the low pass on the hu...
what are the settings you guys use?
thanks in advance!

OK first if you can measure (in inches) from your speakers to where you want the sound stage to be I can give you the time correction settings.
As for the crossovers you want to set your low pass filter at 100Hz (as a starting point) and below and your high pass filter 100Hz and above (also as a starting point). After that it's pretty much user preference, adjust it to the way you like it.
if you need anymor info let me know.

Could you do me a favour and write down the settings that you have stored, we're driving the same car so the settings must be close....?
the 9811 hipass/ low pass only go 80/120/160 and not 100 htz ????
Thanks

Its all user preference.
Personally I prefer the sub crossed over around 65 Hz. My deck has 50/80/125. So I had to use my amps fully adjustable crossover 45-160. This keeps things from getting boomy. Then I keep the highs full range since components already come w/ crossovers.
You gotta play with the sub and highs to see what you like best.

see i set my fronts high pass settings at about 80-100Hz so thay don't bottom out at high volumes. but then mine is adjustable from 40-180Hz too
my subs get 80 and below (i like bass

) For the time correction you should really do the measuring yourself because not everyone sits in the same position. For instance some people sit very far back and some sit very close to the stearing wheel. It's really not that difficult, just measure the distance from every speaker to where your head is in the car and then go to the I-Personalize section of the alpine website and enter those numbers.
