Help!! Image Dynamics IDQ12

I'm going to purchase 2 12in Image Dynamics IDQ12, should I get the 2ohm or 4ohm version? What amp should I get and how should it be wired up? Each sub should get 350watts rms.

I would say get the 2 ohm version. Then you can end up w/ a 2 ohm load which is what most monoblock sub amps want.

The two amps I have recently used are Kicker 400.1 and Alpine M350. Both performed great.

Here are some common amps that come to mind.

Kicker 600.1
Alpine M500
JL Audio 500/1
Rockford Fosgate Power 501bd
MTX Thunder801D
JBL 600.1

GreenNVicious can only hope to improve
If you go with the 4ohm, I suggest Phoenix Gold amps.

the ohm load youd want all depends on which amp you get

Two speakers, DVC 4 ohms:
* Mono - 4 or 1 ohm total
* Stereo - 2 or 8 ohms each speaker

Two speakers, DVC 2 ohms:
* Mono - 2 ohms
* Stereo - 1 or 4 ohms each speaker

Since they are subs you most likely want a monoblock class d amp. If so w/ the 2 ohm ones you want an amp putting max power out at 2 ohms. With the 4 ohm ones you want an amp that puts out max power into 1 ohm.

IDQcivic should not be trusted
GOOD CHOICE IN SUBS! I have the idq12 v2 d2 dual voice coils.. I have each sub wired in series to make a 4 ohm load, then paralell so my amp sees 2 ohms mono.... I've had these subs for over 3 years and they are awesome....
