Moving LCD Screen in Pocket Under HU?

My friend has an in dash lcd that he paid over $1000 for. I really like it, but I don't have that kinda money to buy something like that. I wonder if anyone has ever constructed something where the lcd can hang in the space below the HU in that pocket so that it sticks up? I have mine on the dash right now, but that's just asking for theft, and it gets really hot in the sun too. My stand won't fit in the pocket I don't think, no matter how I mess with it. Might be a stupid question, but someone's gotta have an idea. I don't like the LCD hanging low, cuz it hurts ur neck to look down.

Come on guys, no ideas? Well I've seen some people with the OEM console where that little pocket cover is still there. I'm thinking I could put that back in somehow and set the stand on that? Best idea I've got so far.
