help me w/ my new truck
help me w/ my new truck
So now I need to do a system in my truck. I am brain-storming here!!!
It is an extended cab, w/ dual 3rd doors. There are 6x8's in the front door and in the rear doors.
Heres what I am thinking. Now I wanna keep my space in the back as much as possible so no crazy subs and all that. Plus I want it to sound really good.
I am thinking Pioneer 2-way REV 6x8's up front. The rear doors seam to have tons of room. So I was thinking of modifying them for subs, like a 6.5" or 8" to go in the 6x8 hole. Then a 4-channel amp under the passenger seat.
What should I think of using to fab an enclosure for these to get really nice midbass response?
I don't think those foam things will do what I am looking for. Maybe get them to use as a pattern to make something?
I am sure dynamatting all doors is a must too, especially the rears.

Totally doable with fiberglass in the rear doors as long as you have enough mounting depth, as far as the fronts, I wouldent bother with 6x8's, just make MDF panels and mount a nice set of components.
