i just swapped out my stock headunit for a panasonic headunit, but now the AM signals are weak. i know many don't use AM, but i need it for AM traffic stations and my parent's chinese stations. i tried grounding the antenna amp directly to the battery, but it didn't help. does anybody know how to increase the antenna's amplifification? what other honda models' can i use? i know people swap nsx antennas with integra ones for the stub look, but what will work for our 7th gen civics?? thanks

Your problem sound extremely familiar. Try searching the forums before posting topics like that. Not to say I'm not guilty of it tho.

It's your power antenna. You're not powering it. Run a wire from the yellow/green (power anntena from factory harness) into your amp remote wire or something. You'll see great improvement in AM reception.

nohone.. i tried that, and it still sounds like ****..

I used to have an FM signal booster in one of my previous vehicles, and it worked great. Would something like this help?
