stereo help plz!

While reinsalling my stereo I think the constatnt on positive wire from the battery shorted out on my dash. Now I have no radio or keyless entry has this happened to anyone else out there? I chacked all fuses and that's not the problem. Honda said that if it did short out my car wuold just be a big paper weight. That's not the case. Also my trip meter gets re-set to the odometer every time I shut the car off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

definitely check the fuse labelled 'backup' in the engine bay. if that's not it, check your accessory fuses and stereo fuse under the dash. i suspect you'll find your problem under the hood as i did. i bet you also do not get the lights coming on when you open the door with the key out of the ignition either...
