Rep Power: 0 Amp for 2x12"
I'm getting two Alpine Type-R (2ohm + 2ohm)
I was looking at a Lanzar Vibe 248. Of course it's not brand name, but the specs looked good and the price looked great so I was wondering if it's any good.

If it's not, would you recommend any amps that'll power those subs real nice for around that $200-$300 price range.

Rep Power: 304 Dual 2ohm voice coils, right? Check out the Hifonics Brutus BX1000D. Wire the subs for a 2 ohm load and that amp will give them 500 watts, and you can get it for about $250 on ebay.

Rep Power: 0 Those are nice subs, they'll bump nicely with the 300 watt to each speaker. A 1400+ watt amp will be sufficient. My friend had the same subs running at 370watts x 2 at 2ohms and he would set off car alarms down the street from me. (while passing them by)

Rep Power: 304 1400+ is way too much for those subs....they are 300 RMS, if you gave them 1400 it would be 700 a peice. 500-600 watts total will slam them, I have two in my garage right now that I was running off a JL 500/1 and they slammed.

Most higher end amps don't even bother to advertise a peak rating since the people shopping for them already know it's a BS number.
Bottom line: Always shop by RMS power and not Peak since Peak is never reliable and constant, hence it's called Peak.

Rep Power: 304 Also of note: Those Alpine amps in the picture above are the 300M's..300 watts. Perfect match for those subs, but slightly expensive. The Hifonics would work just as well, aleibit with slightly less onboard xover options. But you probably wouldent notice the difference there. And you can get an external xover relatively cheap if the Hifonics onboard one doesnt cut it.

thanks for the responses everyone. I'm pretty much set on a hifonics brutus then.
That pic looks hot. That's almost exactly what I had in mind, but I have no idea how to go about doing it. Not really urgent, but if someone's got the know how to do that, mind letting me know?
