Exclamation HELP! Clarion Deck thinks my phone is ringing!

Hey guys!

Very new to I.C.E and to date all I have in my car is the factory speakers and an afterarket deck.

The Deck is a Clarion DXZ635MP. It has this problem:

The screen says "Telephone" and has rendered itself unuseable. None of the buttons work now. I don't know what happened to it. When I went home it was working GREAT and then when I went back out and turned the car on this telephone message came up and has been stuck there ever since!!! I hit the reset button and that prompted me to hit the power as it would when it's first installed but the car was on so I'm guessing I should do that with the car off huh..lol.

Anyway, I know sqwat about I.C.E so I thought I would pick the brains of the members who actually know what they're doing...lol.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Disconnect your negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes....then hook it up again. That will cut all power to the HU and should reset the deck to the same way it was when you installed it.

I'm not sure about the clarion but some decks have a cellular phone mute wire on the back of them. Check your deck and see if you have that wire and see if its grounding out.
