I currently have a md500 V12 mono pumping 2 12" Apline type R's. I have the opportunity to trade in my current amp to get the md1000 V12 mono for only the difference in price. Just curious difference it will make to my subs and the sound. Quick reply needed!

Oh, yeah. I get all of my stuff at cost. I have to pay an extra $300.00 bills to upgrade. Just want to know if the sound quality (difference) will be worth the $300.00.

twice the power = only a 3dB gain. However, if you're looking for sound quality it's defiently worth it, the amount of headroom you'll gain from that will make a big difference.

We put in the amp for fun. It sounds great. But the one I have now is good enough. To me there wasn't a $300.00 sound difference, but thanks anyways.
