alarm/keyless entry
alarm/keyless entry
Hey i'm new here, my questions is does anyone have a colored wiring diagram for an alarm/keyless entry system. I saw the chart in the diy but I'm trying to find a better one. Any help would be great, thanks.

Hey bro,
Is this the stock honda transmitter or is the the generic DEI Automate 410 they use sometimes? In other words, what does your transmitter on your keychain look like. I had the automate installed in my civic and probably can get you the info.

sorry dude, that's dei's tech sheet for our cars, it doesnt get any better then that. If you cant read that then you shouldnt be attempting an alarm on your car. Although whoever copied that neglected to copy the notes on the bottom, so there are some holes in it i can tell you what most of them are right now:
*1 - the factory alarm plug is a green plug in the driver's kick panel and is present in all cars, regardless if they have a factory alarm or not.
*2 - you will have to diode isolate each door pin : The drivers door trigger is green, front passenger door trigger is lt. green/red, and the rear door trigger is green/white.
*3 - In the top left plug
*4 - the tach test connector is located in the engine compartment on just to the left of the battery, it will be by itself and have a wierd little plug on the end of it.
*5 - you arent going to need a speed sense regardless

thanks dude, im not saying i cant do it with that chart i was just hoping to get something alittle more like a diagram or something, those notes will defidently help, thanks man
Try an auto sound place that does a lot of alarm installs, maybe they have a copy of one or what not. Or try searching the net, i found a really detailed/color coded one for 5th gens a while back when I did my friend's stereo in her '94 sedan.

I completed the notes above, but like i said, I WORK AT A CAR AUDIO SHOP, this is the most information ANY shop will have, and is plenty of info to complete ANY alarm install!!! If you cant look at your alarm's instructions and then at the DIY and can't figure out what wire goes where, YOU SHOULD NOT INSTALL YOU OWN ALARM!!!
Ok bro, man I got you the first time, thanks for the notes, if I see that I can't do it I wont but I dont think I will have a problem for I have hooked up several different electronics in my car, later
