they have 2 recommended sizes, medium = 1.65, small = 1.2.
is a 1.2 cube ported box the same size as a 1.2 cube sealed? or is it bigger because the ports aren't calculated into the size?
one of the things is that i still want a useable trunk, its not that large to begin with, but even now, i find myself using the cargo net, the space beside the box, and then the back seat.

jeez.. youre running the sub in 1.5 cubes sealed and they reccomend 1.2 cubes ported?

now i know why you blew it in that box... the sub handles 1200 at .55 cubic feet or so... the bigger the box, the lower the power handling of the sub...

i would personally go with the 1.6 cubic foot box tuned to 33 hz...

hot damn, i never even thought that the box size would have something to do with my sub blowing.
here is a pdf of the specs on the TDX, i really dont understand it much, but from i get, it says that if i go ported with the 1.65 cube box, it should be tuned at 33hz, and i should run 900watts to the sub. but if i run 1.2 cube, still use 33hz port, but 1200 watts on the sub.
here is the pdf: http://students.ou.edu/P/Mitul.Patel...anual_rev2.pdf
i know you can make some sense of it.
