All you need is a set of the supplied AV cables that come with the PS2. For $10 or $15 you should be able to find a spare set to keep in the car, too.
They'll just hook up to the AV inputs on the back of the deck, so having that spare set in there hooked up at all times would probably be a great idea.

i believe there is some kind of jumper wire (can't think of the name of it) for pioneer decks to connect audio inputs to the auxillaries. i know my deck (premier deh p740mp)has to have one
check the video type whether its PAL or NTSC, it might make the difference
im not sure if the CD has *real* auxiliary inputs or the fake ones that all pioneer radios (the regular ones) have. If it has the fake lame ones, you need a specific RCA input P-bus connector, it simulates a changer and accepts any RCA input, whehter it be your mp3 player, minidisc, computer, or ps2.

well... you dont NEED an inverter. you could wire up a 12v zener diode with a polarized and a nonpolarized capacitor and get a regulated 12v supply to hardwire into the ps2 and skip the onboard power supply.,,

can you explain this a little slower? i wanna hard wire a dvd player to my car if thats possible
baasically, a car electrical system isnt stable at 12 volts. what ludlam's system does is take any voltage at or above 12 volts and regulates it so its a constant 12 volts, so you dont get PS2 frying power spikes.
i dont know if it will shut off yrou ps2 when you get a sub 12 volt drop.
howeer, any electrical engineer can help you design one, if there isnt a problem below 12 volts, id expect lud to be cranking these things out and selling them for less than it would cost to buy a power inverter up in here

It's not the HU it's the PS2. For some reason the PS2's power supply is very noisy. It's happened with a bunch of the PS2s we've installed. Haven't really found a good reliable fix for it yet, though it seems to be the older ones that do it.

is there a brand name/unit # i could get?
I knew something was wrong when i plugged it into the aux input and had no sound..
I have a premier 740mp too
