Amp installation locations? Thinking of floor..

Is it possible on our cars to install the amp under the drivers seat? Im istalling a MTX 6304... its pretty small, i was just worried about the side airbags (EX) or any reinforcements or braces that might get in the way. Or any fuel lines. Please give me some heads up before I blow up my car

Idea # 2, on the seat back of back seat. Just requires more wire.

Mango, Why not the passenger side? You should be able to access your gains/crossover easier from the passenger side.

I have a 17 foot Schoche wiring kit, will that be long enough to run to the trunk?

Oh and it came with 1 pair of RCA cables, ill probably need 2 right for 4 channels? I dont wanna do the "y" connector crap. oh and if i mount under the seat, what about the air bag? what process do i follow to ensure safety of the air bag? disconnect negative term. on battery?

Thanks.

Re: Amp installation locations? Thinking of floor..

I have my amp for my speakers under my passenger seat and then my amp for my subs in the trunk. it worked easier that way than running 2 miles of wires to the trunk. plus all the wires are hidden between the center console and the seat.
