It's summer time and time for a project. I just bought what amounts to a complete overhaul of my wife's Accord's audio system (including the HVAC-contols replacement kit).
Anyway, I've done lots of sound dampening to my civic years ago and I wanted to do a little to the accord.
The problem I'm having is getting a hold of things. Butyl mats are hard enough to find, but ensolite is damn near impossible to find unless I want to buy 100lb's of the stuff.
Where is the best place to buy it in small quantities?

First of all, it's called sound DAMPING, not dampening. You dampen a sponge.
Secondly, why wouldn't you just go with Dynamat or something similar?
I googled "ensolite" and the first result that came up was something from professionalplastics.com
I think the smallest amount you can buy is around $205 for 56 inches x 75 feet. I don't even know what this stuff is but since you say you've done done this before, it must work. Whatever. Anyway, you're getting quite a bit for $200. If you're sound damping an Accord, you'll probably use all of it plus more. (If done correctly)

RAAM Audio sells both butyl mat and Ensolite. Second Skin has butyl mat and their Over Kill line is very similar to Ensolite. Either option will be a much better value than Dynamat (unless you have a good hook up) and Second Skin is actually higher quality.
It turns out that damp and dampen are both correct in this context.

RAAM Audio does sell the ensolite in smaller quantities too. You only have to buy a minimum of 3 yards I beleive. They have been backordered for like a month though on their BXT mat so I would go with second skin for that in the mean time if you can't wait.

You really don't want to go too cheap when it comes to matting your car in my opinion. Best to do it right the first time so you don't have to do it again later. Anything butyl based should be good. Take a look at the sound deadener showdown

Thread still alive...hmm.
For those that may want to do this, Amazon.com (of all places) is a storefront for Elemental Designs, and their prices are equal to buying from eD.
They carry the whole line of mats, v1, v1SE, v2, and Teklite.
Teklite is adhesive neoprene, identical to Paxmate, Acousticmat, and Spire SD that we computer tuners have been using to sound deaden computer cases for years.
