bass tubes

They arent my first choice, but my sister and brother in law have 2 bass tubes laying around their garage. They're both amped and have the wiring etc. They want to get rid of them so they said i could have one. I'm not looking for huge bass or what-not so I dont really want a big box set up. Anyone know if these things are half-way decent. I also like the fact that they can be removed very easily if I have to.

they sound best in a hatch or SUV where your ears arn't so far from the sound source or there isn't a back seat to kill the sound. most of the time bass tubes = yucky.

You wanna place them carefully to maximize their effect.

Generally aim them at the taillights w/ the speaker about a foot or so away. I also heard they get really good results when alligned w/ the shocks and placed facing down, again w/ the speaker about 4" or so off the trunk floor. Tends to vibrate the car more.

I heard 2 of the 6.5" ones in a Fiero once and could swear they were 10's ....
