Hello,
I was wondering how to change the bulb near the automatic gear shift in our 2012 civic. For a while, it would light occasionally, now it doesn't light at all.
Thanks!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

There's a LIGHT there? I've been driving my 12 over a year and never noticed!
Looks like the panel that surrounds the shifter (includes the tray ahead of the shifter) will lift up, only held in with snap clips.
Lift the handbrake lever, start prying up around the rear of the panel.
Get the panel up, maybe you can sneak your fingers under the PRNDL panel and reach the bulb holder.
I know this isn't the same, but the construction in similar:

I wasn't sure that there was, since it shows on the dash what gear you're in, but my husband swears there was/is. At least he will get a chance to look.
Thanks!
Thanks!
