I will have the funds in about 6-8 months but i was planning ahead so i have have the engine and money at the same time if possible. junkyard? thought if you get it there the engine's most likely already totalled? There was a member who bought a RSX after it got totalled from behind (front was in perfect condition) for 5k. In my knowledge, certain shops get to chop up cars after they get totalled, take all the good parts n **** and sell it off, by the time it gets to the junkyard, its useless.
There's plenty of salvage yards that have complete cars and engines. There's also used car lots that sell salvage cars. Often you can find a "rebuildable" wreck, for what you might pay for the engine alone.

junkyards usually will give you all parts only if you ask for them ...they sometimes throw in extra pieces that you dont even need .....but the rsx-s motor will run qite a bit o' papae! feel what im saying ...in other words it aint cheap and you have to really look at the engine (for damage or really really worn components .........) your are gambleing when you purchase from junkyard....so its 50/50 chance you get a phucked up motor .......or a good motor ......dont just plunk down loot just cause you find one ....find a good one .also ask the guys if they at least started the motor before they took it out.......someties they mark the motors that start at first crank..............good luck........
