Post New Engine

OK i recently totalled my 95 Civic and it was pretty tight.... ill get pics asap but for now i am wondering what to do. i am buying it back from the insurance company and i intend to have it fixed but if possible i want to put in a whole new engine instead of fixing the badly damaged one. Right now i have a stock V Tec and i am looking to get a higher performance engine... perhaps an Integra engine or something like that but i don't know what will fit or which is the easiest to install if any one could offer advice and ballpark prices i would really appeciate it thanks.

I think you'd have a hard time putting the caddy V16 13.2 Liter Engine in a geo metro...

I'm pretty sure he would like to know what FEASABLY will fit into his car.

Don't take this as a flame, but this is becoming just as common as the word "Leased" around here.

Oh well, pw for you and me.

i think that H series engines will fit....im not 100% positive...but a prelude engine would make you a good amount faster than you were....

An H22 (Prelude) engine will fit... But mounts are expensive! But your car will be in the mid 13 range + FASSSST!

I wouldnt really suggest an LS/Vtec because it's quite expensive and problems will arise...

Your best bet for a stater like yourself would be a B16 (SIR) or a B18C (GSR) a little more expensive engine but has more potential then the B16... It's all about the $$$

The B16, or 18 is a great platform to go off of. There is just a world of aftermarket parts for either engine. And, they are common enough to where you can get them at a good price, if you look in the right places.
I would go with the B18 from the GSR myself. If youve ever driven a GSR you would understand.
