AEM V2
I know there has been many discussions on the new V2, but I'm here to say that it does improve the performance on our cars. I have a friend that has a 01 civic 5 spd ex with just about all the mods I have (Hp racing header, TCS exhaust, Apexi VAFC) , but he just installed the V2 on his car the other day. Well, he came over to my house last night before I started the install on my KMS Manifold to let me drive his car.
I was sooo surprised on how much pick up it has in the lower to mid range compared to my car which has the V1 cold air. I'll be getting the V2 as soon as I find a good deal on it. I'm telling you guys, this is probably the best intake for our cars for performance.

Oh I completely agree with you...I didn't believe it when it first came out. I thought it was a gimmick just like everyone else. I just know that I will be buying one as soon as I can because there is a big difference compared to my car with all the same mods.

or maybe it gained back the low-mid range it lost in the first place. heh.
*shrug*
gotta see a dyno side by side to see the difference..
although AEM does claim more mid range for all their V2 applications over their identical car application V1s.
the theory is kinda sound too. although I duno if its worth to switch intake if u got one already...
if u dont have one though.. maybe. maybe.

does this intake sit any different inside the bay? i heard somewhere on here that it was up higher or something so there was lesser a chance of getting it submerged?? is this the case, cuz that would be another plus along with any gains it may give ya

As far as I could tell, the filter was just about in the same place as ours...I'm not really sure though. I'm just saying if you have the money and want the best performance, I would go with the V2...We both are going soon to get our VAFCs dyno tuned so I'll try my best to get some #'s up.
my friend with a 2000 integra type R tried to order the V2 directly from AEM and they told him that they no longer produce the V2 because it just didnt give people the gains they advertiesed. They also discontinued because people found out and now they have false advertising lawsuits on them..
