wtf does a resonator look like? when i get my header installed im thinking of asking the muffler shop guys to take off my resonator but i have no idea what it looks like. will the tone in my exhaust change as well as the loudness of it? will it help horsepower? does a magnaflow even have one to begin with? help.

The Magnaflow full catback has a resonator on it..if you remove it it probably will be noticeably louder. As HP goes, I doubt in our civics will will improve any performance.

yea you will get less sound and it will give you more back pressure... and a slight decrease in sound.

The resonator for the Magnaflow is the piece that looks like the muffler, but it comes right before it, and then that piece attaches to the muffler. it looks like two bread loafs but together, it's the only other canister looking thing besides the mufffler. I got the Magnaflow catback too. It'll make it louder, but about HP, i dunno..

pretty much, a resonator is just a mini muffler... you can get away with only putting resonators on.

No, the missing link is replaced by a pipe. That's all. Not another resonator.

yea just cut off that pipe and go to a muffler shop so that they can weld on a replacement pipe

louder, with our cars, if you have a straight pipe. in no way will any 7thgen sound like aweek wacker just really loud
