Hey everybody;
I am sorry if this has been brought up...
Someone is offering some sort of chip on ebay, for $5.95, actually it is a buy 1 get 1 free deal so you get two chips for 6 bucks. They claim up to 20hp gain. I read the information, it seems like BS to me. Tell me what you think.

It will mess up your engine guaranteed!( when cold air get into engine it expands. If ECU will think cold air is coming it will pump more gas than needed...you will be screwed after some time).
Do not mess with ECU upgrades, even with JetChip. I bought it , did not notice anything(opened it up , all stock, just like I send it. Maybe they reprogrammed it, but there is no way of knowing). Instead I got rough idling. BS. Searching for new ECU. Not worth the hasle.

" WOULDN'T YOU LIKE A SIMPLE PLUG-IN MOD THAT SAFELY TRICKS YOUR VEHICLE'S ECU TELLING IT THAT THE AIR TEMPERATURE COMING THROUGH YOUR AIR INTAKE IS 15-20 DEGREES COOLER THAN IT ACTUALLY IS? "
"
This auction is for a timing advancement resistor with easy to understand instruction sheet w/helpful pics . No car knowledge is necessary, anyone could do it! All vehicles have an Electronic Control Unit (ECU)-a computer chip that electronically manages and monitors your car's performance-that is made according to government regulations. That means that your car could be going a lot faster and getting more power if you replace the ECU. that could cost up to $2,000. This mod will modify your stock ECU with a Timing Advance resistor. This resistor connects to the car's ECU by replacing the Intake Airflow Temperature (IAT) Sensor. Once the resistor is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air; think of it as a "default" setting on the ECU. When the ECU reads this, it lean out the air/fuel mixture-in other words, it will take in MORE POWER, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees.
