Rep Power: 0 attn: kaminari kit owners
hey, im having trouble opening my doors, sometimes i try to open them and the side skirt gets caught on the door. i am guess thing is because the side part is sticking up a little bit, which makes it in the way of when i try to open the door...the quesiton i am asking, is if any of you guys ran into these types of problems with the kaminari side skirts...im pretty sure all i have to do is just make it fit snug by putting two sided tape in betweehn the side skirt and the car so it isnt loose

Rep Power: 278 I recently got into an accident and it messed up my front bumper, rear bumper, and side skirts.. When the passenger side door is opened, it clips on the side skirt sometimes.. I have the Veloz edition of the 2002 civic so I have the Honda side skirts. The way they are mounted is from underneath and the skirt itself has little strips of plastic that slide into a metal pocket or something that is a strip that goes along under the doors. The way I prevent the sideskirt from clipping is I press down the side skirt into the metal thingy.. This reply probably doesn't help but I was kindof having the same sort of problems.

Rep Power: 278 But the OEM ones must be different because mine have a metal bracket.. Its really actually kinda usefull because it does the job rather than just using 2-sided tape..
If you really wanted to, you could do a custom molding job but you probably don't want to.

Rep Power: 0 the only problem i've noticed on my kaminari sides is that on the drivers side where the side attaches to the body of the car, the double sided tape has came loose a little bit. Its not that noticable, but its still not like it was when i drove it out of the shop. BTW, how many of you scrape your front lip often?

Rep Power: 0 k i had this problem to, mostly when its hot all week then gets cold suddenly but somtimes randomly but i fixed it by- the part that comes up into the doorjamb, what you look down on from the drivers seat when sitting in car- take a dab or 2 of superglue and glue that down... if you dont want a drop of glue on your car ohh well there may be another way but this took 1 min and never happend again. hope this helps
