clearing headlights

in the state of TX, you must have an amber turn signal. now, i can legally remove the amber REFLECTOR in the headlights, but before i rip it apart, is the turn signal bulb amber as well? or is it a white bulb behind amber plastic. thanx in adavance

actually the stock turn signals do emit an amber light. so once you clear out the headlights, you'll still get an amber light coming from them.

There is a white bulb behind the amber, just run to your local auto parts store and pick up an amber bulb... A & A has some really nice bulbs that are amber when they shine but when they arent shinning the look chrome, you cant even see the bulb they are really nice and i am almost sure they are legal since they still light up amber

The stock bulb is clear, but when on it gives out a light yellow color.

Buy some amber 7443s from autodynamic.com or your local pepboys.
