upper grils

I'm looking for a new upper girll. What I want is to have an open face pretty much, no screan or whatever. I've looked around, and checked the parts section, yet havn't found what I'm looking for. Can anyone help.

won't an open face upper grill allow a whole load of crap to get into the engine bay?

You can buy the altezza one and cut out the screen. other than that, custom work?

That's what owning a Civic (better yet, customizing (goes hand in hand with 'Honda') ) is all about! You can't have a Civic and not want to make it the way you want it to be (that is unless you: are a daily driver; old and don't care what you drive; have children; over 40).

Good, coz when you begin to just "drive a civic" and treat it that way, the good value of a Civic dissolves and then it turns into an econo-box. Just becuase you didn't pay $80000 for it, doesn't mean you shouldn't treat it like a BMW.

Try Procarparts. They sent me a grill (by mistake) It has the grill frame and a separate screen you could leave off. It has a "type R" sticker so I guess they call it "Type R". You could install the frame and leave off the screen without having to cut anything.

If you want to be different get the Kaminari upper grill. I have seen pictures of cars with it but I dont believe they were members of the site. I would say at most maybe 2 or 3 people have it on this site. You're going to have to part with a little more money though than say an altezza grill.

Why do that if you can buy one with no mesh already installed?

because i didn't know they had that at the time, how much is that grill? you can get the altezza grill for $30 now and cutting out the mesh doesn't cost anything if you have all the tools or have a hook up at a shop.

My statement applies to the guy that posted the original question here, since it appears he is looking for a grill with no mesh. I don't know how much it costs cause I got it for $11, which is what I paid for the eyebrows and they sent me a grill instead.

haha, good deal. I bought the altazza, and gonna do a little snip snip, sand and paint. Moding cars is not for the lazy sheesh.
