Tenzo R Rally seats!!!

Just letting you all know that I just ordered my Tenzo R rally seats in the new black and grey color from Chris at CDM Motorsports . It cost me $580 and I got the 2 seats, sliders, brackets, and shoulder pads. Hopefully they will be here for the meet. The site is under construction but he is a big seller on ebay.

How hard is the install? Is there anything I should know? Do I have to do drilling to attached the brackets and sliders?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah i ordered my seats from him, and they didnt come for 4 months. Also he never sent any bolts with the seats and i had to go out and buy my own. The brackets he sends are also crooked as all hell and u have to spend about and hour bending them right. You also might need to thread some of the brackes because two of the holes on mine were not. I did not have a positive experence with him. Also he told me that hes having a problem sendout out the rally style seats because there so much bigger, and they come 2 per box and he cant find a place to ship them so good luck with that.

I had a great experience with this guy. He sent everything and they came packaged very well. One seat per box and he wes very helpful and set everything i needed. I ordered mine right around Christmas and he included Carbon Fiber TenzoR door sills and shoulder pads for free! Great guy

LOL, I get 3 totally opposite responses. Now I don't know what to think. ShadyMM, how easy was the install........of course over looking the defects that you got. Is it just unbolt old seats. Attached slider to brackets, attach brackets to new seat, and the attach the new seats to the car in the stock position?

I've heard that the new Black/Grey ones don't fade like the other colors.

I have the same red one that I had in my Eclipse when I used to race that. No fading really from what I can tell. I've had that once since July 02. I'll be putting in the passenger one soon.

EDIT* BTW, the install is fairly easy. You do, however have to work the brackets like hell to make them fit in. Pain like you have no idea but very solid once they're in. You can also lower your sterring wheel height because you sit lower, which kinda makes everything look a little better. It's just a little more of a challenge getting in and out.

Well, I'm a 250 lbs guy. I hope that I won't have too many problems getting in and out. I never did in the Trans Am. But you never know.

I was looking on ebay today and found a PAIR of R1 style seats for $379 plus $80 shipping with sliders. They look ok, but kinda thin in the back area

I just sent Tenzo an email asking them about how I can go about getting fabric from them so that I may match the rear seats to the new Rally seats. I hope they will let me purchase the fabric.
