Rep Power: 0 Can HID people post beam pattern pics?
I've noticed more and more of you installing (true) HID kits into your car. One of my concerns has always been retrofitting HID into a halogen-based reflector lamp. I'd like to see how the beam patter is with your HID retrofit.
If anybody has pictures of your HIDs at night up against a wall/garage/something so that we can see how it turns out. Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 The pics on the garage door are mine.
There are lots of other pics on the liteswap.com page linked above.
Disregard the second and third link below. Can't get them to delete.

Rep Power: 0 So those are the Catz H4 kit eh? The cutoff looks pretty good using stock headlight housings... wow.
Is there much stray light above the cutoff? I'm sure the pictures don't totally accurately show how bright the beam pattern is.

Rep Power: 0 Not much stray light at all. You can see a couple spots but they are down on the road, just past the cutoff. I got in some rain and fog last weekend and the lights did really well. Not much reflection from the fog, etc. When I got home I could see that a film of crud had built up on the headlight lenses outside, but I had still been able to drive and see better than with any other setup I have had. I didn't even turn the fog lights on as the yellow seems to detract from the white HID light on the road.
I knida wish I'd have got the hi-low Catz though. The only problem is you can't flash the low only ones. Not a big problem, but I'd get the hi-low if I was buying again.

Rep Power: 0 yeah but i heard that you had to make some changes for projectors like TYC. Is is true that the H1 HID bulbs dont fit TYC projectors, cause i wanted to get some with HID's, that would be bad

Rep Power: 0 Heard too many sad stories about projectors. Leaks, bulbs not fit, poor light output. They may look nice, but it sounds like you gotta be real careful which ones you get.

Rep Power: 0 Same here, from what I've gathered those aftermarket projectors are cheap crap. Some dedicated lighting people have retrofitted "real" OEM projectors like Audi A6 ones and others.
