VIS cf hood cracking with hood pins install

i went to a local body shop to get the hood pins installed. after the install i noticed that there are little cracks that were there due to drilling. the guys there said its the epoxy resin that they use for the hood. (wasnt strong enough) i have a VIS oem style cf hood. was this cracking due to installation skills or is it unevitable? the guys there said the cracks shouldnt spread cuz the epoxy material doesnt do that. what should i do? should i worry about the cracks spreading?

faulty install work, and i would worry about it. Im a perfectionist though so i would be pretty pissed off. Call up VIS and ask them what the deal is

Call up VIS, ask them if thats uncommon, and what can be done about it. If they say its the shop's fault, make them take care of the problem for you.

sounds like the shop's fault too. they didn't take up the dripping place with masking tape did they? they have to take down the spot, otherwise, it will crack. i have a crappy built cf hood, and i got hood pins on mine, and mine didn't crack. remind you this hood warps under head and has creases everywhere, and the gel coat is falling apart near the edges, but where the holes were drilled is fine

I would definitely make that shop pay for it!! They obviously didn't take the necessary precautions before drilling. Make them pay man!

thanx for the input guys. i will live with the cracks and put a bad word in for JT AUTOBODY IN SAN GABRIEL. its an asian body shop. i know for a fact that they will not buy me another hood. so i wont even try. i dont like being argumentive anyway. i know JT has a name in the motorsports industry, but hopefully my 2cents would make someone be aware of their mickey mouse jobs and think twice before going there. i called VIS up and they said that the cracks shouldnt spread so......eh.
