hey everyone, my front bumper is really dinged up and I really want to get a front lip for my civic. I want the AW Type K and the web site that I am getting it from will get it painted for $129 + the price of the lip. That sounds reasonable, but I really don't have around $200 to pay to get the lip and get it painted. The honda dealership will charge $200 to paint it, which is a rip off. I was wondering if anyone knows of a paint shop that will paint it for me for less than $129? Maybe MAACO or something like that. Or is it easier to paint it yourself? For those people that live in Houston, maybe you all know.

I wouldnt have them paint it. Chances for it to get scrached and chiped in shipping are too great. And what if it is not an EXACT fit? then you have to play around with it and end up getting it painted again anyways. I'm sure you can find a local joint to paint it for aroun 150. And what the hell is the type K lip?? I've never seen or hurd of that before.. show pics

Yeah in Houston I think the cheapest is Maaco.. but unfortunately I've heard it's not that great. Unless you have the hookup at a good shop.

That is the RS lip, probably just named it something to call their own...theres some alright stuff on there that i've havent seen before...like those SI gauges, could put that on my SI cuz i live in Canada...lol.

Anyone know if the m3 sides on this website would fit? They are listed under our year civic, but they look like they are on a 6th gen. What do you guys think? would they work?

That type a k whatever is actually the rs front lip or type b. It is called many things but most people call it the RS Front Lip. Good price. $89 + $25 shipping. Paint is kinda high still.
