silverstars

has anyone tried the new sylvania silverstar headlights? if so, how good are they cause i was gonna pick up a pair from checker's for $53/pair. I know the website says our cars take H4, but in the book there it said our car took something like 2003, anyone know for sure. the box for the H4 said they were for motorcycle use only...i'm confused.

Save yourself some money, either get the Coolblue (if you want something better than factory bulbs) for like 20dollars or get the Mtech bulbs on ebay.com for only 12dollars shipped. H4=9003

WHAT UP!

I have the 9003's and I like them.... I had Naxos 85wt ones and they burt out...so i got the silverstars and they arent as powerful as the 85wt because they are 65wt...BUT, i do like them, and I think that they have a nice look with kind of a twinkle in the middle of them! It looks nice!

Just my opinion!

Look at my memebrs ride page. i really like them.. the light output isnt significantly better than stock, but the color definitely is.. no stocky yellow, and no ricey blue... a nice pure white!

Silverstars are just a little whiter than fatory bulbs, and personally I prefer the bluer looking ones - right now I have a set of MTech H1's in my projectors, and a set of Street-Glow H1s for the Hi-beams. The street glow have a lifetime guarantee, but are a little more expensive - again, slightly bluish tint but not as blue as I've seen. I would also be careful when upgrading the bulbs because if you get too high a voltage and don't upgrade the wiring harness, it could melt and you'd be left with a big black pile of plastic goo that isn't pretty. And yes, that's speaking from experience. I had the Nokya Arctic white and they fried my wiring harness.

So, just a few tips, since I've had lots of experience fúcking around with different headlight bulbs ...

Mangoex, I like your pictures in your Member's Rides. The last picture from the driver's view showing how the headlights shine from the driver's seat, are those your car with the Sylvania SilverStars? Because they look pretty bright.

Compared to the OEM yellow lamps the silverstars are really good. They are very bright and WHITE, not blue. They don´t resemble HIDs either (no halogen does, even the blue ones).

The high beams are awesome. If you want to improve your headlight performance get them, if you just want looks get the cool blue or something like that

Thanks man. I really like the HID. Well worth the cost and it's an easy install.

Those on the stock housing right? A lot of people said it would not look good, but what do they know? They look great, what HID kit is that? Maybe I should look first.

Unless you have a hardcore show car, $12 xenon bulbs are plenty good. They're stock wattage so no harm is done to the housing and they give off a pure white glow.

From what I've seen, silverstars are a little yellowish. Get cool blues for a whiter light (3800K) than stock. They're not blue or anything.
