PURPLE bulbs.
a friend of mine gave me CUZOs(100/90) in purple for my birthday. we decided to try them on and oh boy... it's too purple.
is this how it's supposed to be? cuz it really sucks.

I have Cuzo's in blue and I swear by them. They are by far the brightest light I have driven with the exception of HID. IMO they are the closest you can get to HID.

Im about to buy a set of those, do i need a better wiring harness or whatever? Do they get hotter than normal, or is it not a problem.
thanks
Oh and by the way.....if you all doubt me, I'm meeting up with DDogg, AKA Blk4blk2k1, next friday to compare lights. He will be able to vouch for me.

3x brighter than Silverstars huh? Don't you think that's a bit of an exxageration? HIDs themselves are barely 3x brighter than halogen. So you're saying that the Cuzos are equivalent to HID.
I hace Catz in both my Civic and my FiancesAccord and they are hyper white bulbs. I like them alot and they seem to be brighter them the stock lights they came with the cars. Those are plug and play as well. I would say that they are brighter than HID's and I wouldn't mind getting HID's once I get the money for them.

lol ur friend gave u purple bulbs for ur bday...thats well i got the blue ones...its obvious blue but cops are ok with it..but i got 3 ticket on my blue signal though
Silverstars? The blue tinted ones we get here in North America? Those things are DIMMER than stock. Go get some european CLEAR Silverstars if you really want to be impressed.
I like how people come on here giving their two cents about bulbs and what not, but then they start arguing about something they have no backing for. I spent more than a week trying to find actual data for my own knowledge regarding the luminosity of auto bulbs since I saw such discrepancy among members. One thinks this bulb's this bright, the other thinks it's some other bulb that's even brighter, but NO ONE ever posts actual data. Aha, until I did, but NO ONE reads it, and they look like fools arguing something that was PROVEN by scientists to be wrong. So, go check out the post on PIAA, read the data acumulated from scientific research and then you may argue knowing full well you're right.
I came to the simple conclusion that if you're not gonna go with true HIDs you might as well stick to stock bulbs, or buy cheap cuz it really doesn't make much of a difference.
While I'm at it, you guys can take a look at these sites too for more info:

how high can you go in wattage without risking melting the harness? i got some 100/90W mtecs (asses sent me the wrong ones
), but i'm afraid i'm gonna screw something up if i install them...sooo, "how high"?
), but i'm afraid i'm gonna screw something up if i install them...sooo, "how high"? If people are blinking yoo, then the lights are out of adjustment. No matter what the lumens, properly adjusted lights won't bother other drivers. Lights can be out of adjustment just by changing the bulbs because the focus of all bulbs is not the same.

Yeah, you definitely need to get an harness for 100/90 watts. Our stock wattage is only 60/55. Although a lot of h4 bulbs say 60/55->125/120 or something like that, you dont have to worry about those. The mtecs you got, you should be careful of though. They are pretty high wattage.
I'm installing a new wiring harness right now, I'm just trying to figure out where to plug the damn thing into my light switch. Does anybody on this sight have a wiring harness on and can show me with or without pix where the light switch connects to the engine bay? Thanks.

i don't think you need to worry about "wiring harness" unless you are installing the HID. the wattage shows on the superwhite bulbs is what the bulbs will generate. depends on the quality of the bulbs, the higher the W, the shorter time it will last.
i tried a 60/55W superwhite and it's pretty bright and clear (not milky!!), but it only lasted 3 months. now i am trying the 100/90W and i like the color, clear white light and a little hint of purple (close to HID but not as bright of course !!) it's been 6 months now and still going.....
