If you look at how an engine sucks in air, you really should be able to see that something like this won't improve air intake speed. In fact, I would wager that this thing would cause air flow to slow down since it's not powered! You're putting in added friction to the air flow...

i bet it saves fuel since there is a restriction on the air flow.
i don't understand how anything can save gas when the product is suppost to provide more air to the engine. when the engine receives more air, doesn't the ecu provide more gas to balance the air/fuel ratio??
Wow this Tornado air thread wasn't as rough as last year's. Everyone agreed that it was a hoax.
Had me fooled at one point 2 summer's ago. I wanted to save lots of fuel and improve the way air was feeding into my car!!
Good thing I didn't blow $80 on this junk.
just get a tine soda can, slice the ends off, and the stick it into your intake! Viola! DIY Tornado air management system!

I was one of the fools that purchased one for my '96 civic. It did nothing! In fact, there was an article in Sport Compact Car about a year or two ago regarding the Tornado. They installed it on a few different cars and put them on dyno's and road tests. They showed no horsepower gains and little to no MPG gains...

Dont forget to read the fine print about the tornado. It also requires an octane boost additive in your fuel tank. I believe the 98 octane soy sauce mix is what they reccomend. Tell your friend he is earths moron of the week if he buys that piece of crap.
