Flowmasters usually refer to the muffler. Most places sell either Flowmasters or Magnaflows. They are pretty cheap. Custom exhaust are the cheapest and the best for the price.

Flowmasters suck a fatty. I had Dynomax on my 4.3L vortec v6 Sonoma and for some reason took it off and replaced with a Flowmaster. Well, the Dynomax was nice and deep and the Flomaster made it sound like a Civic with no mufler. So, if you want it to sound like a weedwaker get Flowmasters, if not then something similar like a Dynomax or Magnaflow will be better. I have the Magnaflow cat back on my Civic and I love the sound. Some people don't like how quiet it is though.

My brother has flowmaster on his Civic, although it is a 6th gen (I got his custom made from the downpipe down for his b-day). He has no regrets about it. Yes, it's extremely loud, even with the silencer. He's even thinking about getting a 2nd silencer put on. I've driven his car several times and I think, percentage wise, he probably got more out of his exhaust than I got out of my magnaflows (I love my magnaflows though!!) I personally do no think it sounds like a weedwhacker though. It depends on how it is done and what else you have done to it. It is probably worth getting flowmasters, although it is unconventional....

Even if they did, Flowmaster and Magnaflow are two totally different mufflers. Magnaflow ues the glass packing and Flowmaster does not use crap.
