I hate aftermarket muffler tips. They're big and useless. Would it be possible to get a brand name muffler like HKS, saw off that coffee can and resolder a smaller tip, say 2.5 inches? A muffler would be nice, but they're just too gaudy for a 110HP car. I'd probably end up painting it flat black too. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

can't you buy a Apex-i N1 muffler with a 3 inch tip thats annodized black already?

Goto a muffler shop and have them build you a custom exhaust.

You could go to a shop and have it done there, they could put the muffler back a little so you can't see it and you can choose from a number of tips. single wall, double wall, duel tip, diagnal cut tip, straight cut... but this way will you can avoid the big canister exhaust look.

I have the magnaflow exhaust I when I put it on the tip was huge and stuck out a good 4 to 5 inchs so I cut the tip off and now I just have a 2.25 inch exhaust piping tip that isn't huge and doesn't sticks out, flush with the bumper. Much better looking. Doesn't look like that giant rice exhaust. More like a normal exhaust you see on a car.

im wanted to do that but never had the time. cut the 4" tip off the thermal and weld a 2.25" on instead.
