it is hard to believe a professional drag car having anything useless it, other than the paint and sponsors.
it has to be for something.

Nothing, since there is absolutley no way you could read that without causing a major hassle.

The more I think about it, its probably a fuel pressure gauge or maybe a air pressure gauge for the parachute. I would guess that when the car is staging, a crew member checks it before it races. Just a guess.......

Maybe it is the gas gauge to tell how much is left in the fuel cell?

Most likely a gauge for the crew to use on a pre race check. Since it's a functional drag car I highly doubt they'd put it there for show.....

I think it has to do with the battery, or electrical or something like that cause right beside the gauge is two plugs, one Red and one Black, kind of like positive and negitive. But I am not sure, i happened to find a better picture of the car and cropped this part out so you could see better.

Check it out. .............

my guess is battery voltage....cause drag cars dont have alternators...and if your battery is show your car will fart out halfway down the track so they dont want that....check beforehand

Most drag cars have this, for some, its for the battery voltage, for others its fro the fuel cell. It is not however pointless. It's for the crew to check one of those 2 things, sometimes there's 2 guages, one for each. I saw a full drag '68 camaro at a show over the summer that had these mounted in the bumper.

I love them drag 7th gens! They look so cool, especially the single piece body and stickers to where the front grille is supposed to be, as well as headlights and taillights too!

if its a meter, people can read it from outside the car while its running (stopped) while they are working under the hood...
