Autometer Gauges

I am buying the Autometer Triple Gauge Pillar. What I want to know, is what Guages do you suggest that I get to go in them? I'm not running Nitrous yet, but plan to in the future.

I am already buying the Cobalt Series Monster Tach.

Air/Fuel Ratio
Fuel Presssure
Boost
Water Temperature
Oil Pressure
Pyrometer

I have these to choose from because I am getting the Cobalt Series Gauges.

Im pretty sure i saw an ad for cobalt volt gauge. get oil pressure, air fuel, and volt if they have the volt, if not then build a b.s. meter for the 3rd opening until you get a real one for it....

i still think all cars should come with an oil pressure gauge from the factory.

No need for a boost guage unless your planning on running a turbo setup.
If in the future your running N2o, you will want a nitrous pressure guage.
Oil pressure
and instead of A/F guage (unless your spending 200-300 on the guage it's not accurate) i would reccomend the fuel pressure guage for the nitrous, due to the fact that you can monitor your fuel pressure prior to and while your spraying. If your pressure drops you will detonate.
A pyrometer is very nice but pricey, they monitor your exhaust gas temperature.
You have a stock water temp guage so no need for that one.
IMO nitrous/oil/fuel pressure guages. This is going to be my setup when my ride is bottle fed.
Good luck.

you better get the upgraded BS meter, because if you get standard one you'll probably snap the needle

It's gonna go on the dash in between the gauge pillar and the car's gauge cluster.

If your gonna go with nitrous, then get the nitrous xpress electronic gauge, unless you really want 800- 1200 psi of live juice aimed at your head. Im going triple pilar with the electronic nitrous gauge, electronic fuel pressure gauge, and an EGT ( pyrometer) on mine.

The Cobalt series features all full-sweep electric gauges utilizing stepper-motor
technology. This translates to extremely
accurate, responsive and rugged gauges for your application.

Because of the incredible response to this series, we are already planning to expand
Cobalt to include additional gauges. We do not yet have a list of these new products, nor
an
availability date.
Instruments such as a speedometer, voltmeter, etc... will be considered for introduction
in model year 2004.

Once again, thank you for your interest in Auto Meter Products. Thank you for your
patience and support while we await the release of the entire Cobalt instrument line.
Best of luck to
you in your project!

Sincerely,
Marc Erickson
