Shift Boot

Does anybody know who makes a shift boot that will fit an '02 Civic? I talked to my guy at the shop and he said he has never found one that will fit 'cause the circumference is so big. Also, if I get a new shift **** and I keep the old boot, how do I get the little grey plastic piece between the boot and **** to stay in place (since it is actually clipped to the stock ****.)? Any input will be greately appreciated.

Removing The Shift **** Off A Manual Transmission

The MOMO ones fit, but you have to trace and cut out the tabs from the stock boot to make it fit. Otherwise the material at the bottom is too thick and won't fit into the groove in the trim. They're Leather and run around $50.

WHy spend $50 on a new boot when the stock one fits fine? I removed that silver ring and put a rubber bushing on the stick shift shaft so it doesn't fall down, I think it looks cool!

Fuledya, that looks phat. I've decided to do the same thing with my shift boot instead of buying a new one. How exactly did you do that? What size rubber bushing did you have to get so it would hold? Thanx for the idea!

well if ur new shift **** has a collar that screws into it... u can put the collar on first then the boot, then carefully get the collar to catch on the threads... and then ziptie the boot in the gap between the collar and the ****
