thanks 4 all the input. i just joined today, haven't looked at all the other messages.
so i can't order the trunk molding in body color...but i want them to match, it wouldn't be right. i've never painted over "chrome" or whatever that cheezy molding is. i guess i'll just leave it - depends of if i feel like i need to after i install my grill or not - either way it should look much better than the stock grill.

FlexEX left the chrome molding on his car, but then again he has other chrome accessories.

Changing the chrome molding gives the front of the car a much cleaner look IMO

Chrome trim is for old fogers. That's why the put it on the 4 door sedans and not the coupes.

If you paint the lip it looks descent like my buddys grill Pnoy3ler it looks nice. But for me I left it black because it looks rugged and is more noticable

Thanks for the replies...

I've decided to paint the lip SSM and leave the mesh black

I talked to a body shop that my company does business with and asked them what they would charge me for the prep / paint...They said that since they already have 3 SSM Civics in for work that they would just prep and paint it for me FOR FREE
Hmmm...then shouldn't you have lots of trim on your car?

I may be old, but I'm not a foger. You gotta realize the difference.

After looking at your members rides page, I can see where a black trunk garnish would look much better. Black on black is kewl.

I thought you would get a kick out of that!

Yea, the back needs to be black but I am not screwing with having it painted.
