i just got my hks axle back installed on my ex sedan that is lowered with goldline springs. I have 17inch rims...and i cant even drive up or down my driveway because my exhaust hangs so low (it hits when im at the bottom of the driveway).....i was thinking about putting some cardboard around the tip and then backing out..then taking it off...either that or going to some muffler place and having them replace my hangers with shorter ones...what should i do????help me please!!

if you have space between your exhaust tip and your bumper i say raise it witrh the hangers for it but if not you will burn your bumper, you could always wrap a piece of cardbord or something that will go around the tip and then take it off but what a pain

yeah shorten the hangers and cut out some of the bumper.

i like the exhaust alot..its kinda quite, and deep...i just got it installed.(it was between the hks or the magnaflow catback).so i chose hks..i heard it will get louder ...but im happy..except i gotta get the hangers shortened.....any other ideas? should i tell the shop to shorten them but make sure it doesnt burn the bumper?thanks

I have the TCS exhaust that isnt installed yet in my car and Im worried that Ill have the same problem like you. I know the TCS doesnt hang that low but you guys dont understand that my driveway suck!! Hopefully when I get it installed it wont scratch but most likely it will.

 

hmm..i just dropped my coupe on neuspeed sports and I have no problems with scrapage.....VNlilMAN, I think the drop looks Ok with the 215/40's.....right at the limit in the front though....the sound is quality....a high tech sounding exhaust system..

Mine's F*cked Up!! but its cool...HKS built it strong..they knew it was gonna take abuse..but i look at it, i say to myself that no1 is gonna see the bottom...but it F*cken hurts knowing that...I got a 2 1/4 drop and i barely got a fist of space between it and the ground..but i still manage....as for how it is.....i love it!!! sounds not to loud but just loud enough...and i feel it more at higher RPMs...but other than that i love how it hangs low and like that!!! but all them scraps!!!

dude, ive had mine for about 7 months now...it takes so much abuse!! HKS built such a good exhaust, it was made to take abuse. I even hit that thing so hard that it actually lifted up and melted some of the bumper onto it. I know it sucks to hear it dragging along the ground...but i say, just turn your music up loud, and if you are taking on a hill, dip or whatever, just do it quickly like a band-aid.

Man that sucks I know how you feel
I scraped my magnaflow muffler(the can) last week and man it didn't do that much damage but it hurts and makes you so pissed inside knowing that you scraped it
BTW I had 3 other people in the car
