generic vs. brand name (sri and other stuff)

i was checking out tornactive.com for an SRI and other stuff for my auto, and i went to the AEM section cuz i was checking around for the best price (adventon.com is the best so far, of course...$86). then i was just browsing the site and i found a "tornactive brand" SRI that was a little cheaper--just a LITTLE, so i wouldn't save that much money. to tell the truth, i'm 99% gonna choose the AEM just because it has a reputation, but when it comes to other things, like CAIs or strut bars--where i CAN save a bunch of money--is generic stuff (specifically from tornactive, i guess) trustworthy? whatever. thanks for listening. peace...

The main advantage to buying name brand is getting that CARB sticker to make it legal.

Since you have an auto, why dont you put alittle bit more money into an INJEN Race Division CAI so that you will have a CAI and you can convert that to an sri if you wanted.

K&N FIPK!!!!!!!!!

But I've heard nothing but good things about the Injen CAI, too.

Get one of those.

I've heard the no name ones, and even some of the name brand ones, can cause a loss of hp on our cars.

I like my injen intake, just not that big *** inject sticker on it above the engine. A couple of the letters have already came off so i think i'll just peel the rest off. So now my intake says injen techno If price is the biggest factor in your decision just get the cheapest one. They are all pretty much the same when it somes to short ram.
