Anyone on here actually purchase the oversized ground wire package that is supposed to increase HP/TQ/mileage? Did they work, where did you get them and how much?

Rep Power: 291 They come from the JDM market and go for about $27 bucks on ebay or
WHY ARE GROUNDS IMPORTANT
-------------------------
A good ground from the battery to chassis is very important for the
proper operation of your entire electrical system.
A proper ground, believe it or not, will also aid in your engine
idling properly, and that a proper spark gets to the spark plug.
A proper ground will also ensure that your starter will work properly
and will actually help lengthen its life.
STOCK PROBLEM
-------------
The main problem that I have seen is that stock, from the factory
the NEGATIVE cable is bolted to a nut that is welded to the chassis.
The problem with this being that it is relying on, for the most part,
contact through the threads. As some know, the contact patch around
where the cable lug touches the chassis, is usually painted. This does
not make a good conducter. Also for most of the upgrades, and addons
that the average enthusiast installs, adds on even more electrical load.
Also the stock cable is usually cheap, and not very well made.
Arospeed makes these wires as well.
Avereage price is $120 bucks

Rep Power: 0 $7 to ship that? Hmmmmm.. I hate it when i buy something and they overcharge shipping.
For instance, i bought a memory card and paid $5 shipping. 10 days later it came in a vanilla envelope with a 37 cent stamp
ok out of topic. someone buy it and try.

Rep Power: 0 I have bought and installed the Hyper Ground Wiring Kit for my '01 ITR. Looks cool, but the diagram was backwards. W/ this set, you basically make a daisy chain. From Import Tuner, you get about 5hp for my car. Not sure about the civics.

Rep Power: 0 I got some of that courregated plastic wire loom cover stuff from JC Whitney and covered all my wires and some of the hoses. I had a lot left over so I covered the stock ground wire and it looks really good.
From the Group Buy Page
"These kits come in yellow, red, and blue. Gain up to 20+ HP!!!(on a turbo car)
Your engine is like your stero if the ground sucks you loose performance.
On top of that they look good. "
only $40

Rep Power: 0 I was the one that started it. I dont know why but they will only let group buy's by the person that actually sells the item. They said to go directly to the guy on ebay that i was trying to get the group buy going for, but actually shouldnt we have to go through arospeed themselves then ....anyways if anyone wants to get in on it with me i need 4 others. Was the group buy on GBC $40 shipped or + shipping?

Rep Power: 0 Found this site via a magazine advertisement:
http://www.sunautomobile.com
Judging from the materials used, one could just go to their local car stereo shop and pick up a bunch of 8 guage wire and run it all over the engine bay.
While I've never added additional ground wires, I know that this has been done with favorable results by a lot of Subaru WRX owners.
The tech I talked to at HKS stated that these systems basically distribute the electrical grounding and provide a more balanced ground plain. (whatever that means?)
