Bulb life for Sylvania Cool Blue?

Well they lasted about a year and 2 months. The right one went out a week after the left one. The high beams still worked. At first I thought it was the fuse but I replaced the bulbs and the low beams were fine. Is this the life expectancy of these $15 bulbs? I mean I expected a little longer than 2 years. Also it's not like I have DRL or always have my lights on.

That's good.

Most $15 light bulbs live from 2-6 months.

GO MTEC AND PIAA!!!

That sounds pretty good to me. They lasted longer than most other brands that I have heard about on the site. If you want a bulb that is going to last forever, put the dayum stock ones back in. Sheeeesssshhhh.

Well I had no idea that bulbs had such a short life. I like these ones so I'll stick with them. Thanks for the feedback guys.

I had a set of PIAA Super Extreme bulbs ($70 a pair) and they lasted about 5-months. Thats about the 5th set of bulbs I have had, none of which seem to last any longer than that.

i had some nokya arctic blues, which still worked, but were melted into funny shapes after about 7 months. i've switched to some no-brand plus-wattage bulbs, and i'm explecting maybe 6 months out of them tops. but for $9, that's fine with me.

Running Cool blues as well, will switch to MTEC soon. I have mine for over a year now and it's still running very strong.

My Sylvania Cool Blue lasted a year two months also. In a freak incident, both bulbs burnt at the same time?!

Before that my Philips Vision Plus lasted six months.

I have cool blues for about a year now. They even made it through a headlight clearing and being dropped on the ground. They still work.

seriously...who cares? a friend had those blue bulbs and it was essentially the same as turning your lights off at night. you overdrive the beams once you reach 20 mph
