Projector question.
i know this has been asked before but im trying to verify something. I want to do HID's (the real ones) in my car. Now if i buy TYC projectors can i use Philips H1 HID bulbs in there? i read that it might screw them up and it might not. So has anyone done it, and did it work? How does it look?
Thanks in advance

Rep Power: 0 if you have projector lights (halos or tyc's) you cant put H.I.D.s in there.
i heard H.I.D.'s temperature is so high, it'll melt the projector lense.
but go for it and let us know wat happens jk

Rep Power: 0 i believe the problem is not heat when using HIDs with Projector-beam headlamps like the TYC or Matrix models, but actually the light pattern since the light assemblies werent meant for the HIDs. the lamps behave very differently than regular Halogen bulbs so the light pattern would be way off and would probably blind ppl on the road, and might even make it harder to see the road.
in other words, its not a good idea to use HIDs on those projectors, without some kind of modification on the bulbs or the housings.
